A comeback Daniil Medvedev claimed his initial championship for over two years with success over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament championship match.

Medvedev, a former top-ranked player, has endured a torrid year, managing just one win at the major tournaments and undergoing a difficult moment at the US Open.

His unpredictability on the tennis tour - and issues with his service game in specific - resulted in him exiting of the world's top 10 and eventually parting ways with long-term mentor Gilles Cervara.

Now collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently improved in the last few weeks - culminating in a closely contested competitive triumph over challenger Moutet.

This represents his maiden title after the Italian tournament and maiden on a hardcourt after spring of the previous year.

Victory also signifies he has secured twenty-one titles at 21 various competitions.

"This marks the first occasion I'm at a competition with my both daughters at once, so to get a title is really nice," stated tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.

"This title is in tribute of my younger daughter my daughter, because the first title I achieved when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."

The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his last six title deciders, featuring in Halle earlier this year.

The player's counter-punching approach and frequent reactions on the playing surface had led commentators to doubt if his ability to perform at the elite level was finished.

But the athlete has made changes in the last few weeks, striving to advance forward and perform positively, reinforced by an better serve.

Medvedev recovered from a deficit in the initial set against the challenging Frenchman, winning 4 of the last five games to go ahead.

The competitors swapped breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, attempting for his maiden professional title, seized the initiative to create a third set.

The opponent saved 4 initial opportunities in a tight deciding set before Medvedev won the break to fifteen to secure the win.

Fittingly, Medvedev secured the win with a shot at the net area, with his opponent failing to manage a return after over two and a half hours.
